Hello, Emily here!
The Wider Lens team has been in Siem Reap, Cambodia for a little over two weeks now. It feel like its been a month, so crazy, but in a good way. We’ve been SUPER busy filming and following stories here, but also very chill.
We’ve been following some developing stories and filming interviews here at the Adventures In Missions “business as missions” base here called the Overflow Guesthouse and absolutely loving working together as a team in this vibe of Cambodia. We really feel like there’s some unsettled spiritual dust waiting to be settled and so many stories to be told and we just can’t wait to share them with you when the project is released by episodes come Spring!

Evan is our top MVP as he is our knowledgeable tech guru on the team with so much background in freelance videography. He has spent so many hours already this week gathering our footage, organizing, and backing it all up. Not to mention he’s been one of our main camera guys. GIVE IT UP FOR EVAN OUR MEDIA MANAGEMENT GUY.
One of the stories we’ve been following along with here is of our friend Kristie featured in these photos. Kristie has come out here to Cambodia with the vision to start a safe house and hair salon for the women in the sex industry. The story itself is way better than that, but you’re just gonna have to wait!
So far, we’ve gone out to the bars with her once to film and hang out, and we’ve filmed quite a few interviews and other shots of things Kristie’s been able to accomplish while we’ve been here.

I know she may look serious here, but Chantai, our poet and comedian, is the greatest entertainer on the planet and positive member of the team.
